Helen Grace Sioson, a steward at Fairhaven United Church Home was elected to BCNU’s provincial bargaining committee this year. A member since 1998, she says "BCNU's multicultural group was my door to get out of my shell and recognize my potential to do things, that you can do things no matter what your background or where you were trained.

"Knowledge is power and being involved in BCNU empowers me and empowers the other members in my facility when I bring back what I learn about our rights from others in the union."
