Support for education
The Ministry of Health has committed $30 million in 2005/06 to fund enhancement of education for nurses (RNs, RPNs, LPNs). A new BC Health  Education Council, with a Nurse' Bargaining Association representative included on the Board of Directors, will be established to oversee the funding.

Front-line Leadership
The Ministry will provide $50 million to increase the number and support the education of front-line leadership at the DC2 and DC3 level. In addition, $1.2 million over the next four years will be invested to support on-going education through the Nursing Leadership Institute.
