Learning for the Health of it
As a nurse, ongoing education is an important part of your professional life. The B.C. Nurses' Education Fund will help pay for some of your expenses while you upgrade your skills, whether it's over one day or several months. Don't pass up learning opportunities just because you can't afford the cost.

The BC Nurses' Education Fund is a charitable organization started with funds from a bequest included in the will of a BC Nurses' Union employee. Revenue to continue the fund is obtained by donations, fund raising and fees from the Master Card Affinity Program. BCNEF is completely separate from any BCNU funding or dues.

You should check with your employer for other sources of funding. If the course is a requirement of your job, your employer must pay the costs. See your PCA Article 35 or Public Service Master Agreement Article 23.01.

Twice a year, the BCNEF Committee meets to review applications and decides on grants to nurses registered in B.C., and enrolled in accredited education programs.

If you need more information, please contact one of the Committee Members.
