This bursary is for LPNs who are enrolled in Athabasca University's post-LPN Bachelor of Nursing program. Two $1000.00 bursaries will be awarded annually by random draw from the qualifying applicant pool.

All education bursaries awarded are given according to criteria established by BCNU Council and may be revised by Council when necessary.

Eligibility for Bursaries

LPNs applying for the bursary must be:

• enrolled in the Athabasca University post-LPN Bachelor of Nursing Program

Bursary Amounts

Two $1000.00 annual bursaries will be awarded to LPNs by random draw from the qualifying applicant pool.

Application Process

Complete an online application.

• All the data submitted from the form is sent to us in a secure format.


• Social Insurance Number will be required for taxation purposes

Award Process

• Applications are accepted beginning in early January through to September 15 of each calendar year


• Application deadline is September 15, 2012

Award Disbursement

• Bursaries will be awarded to LPNs by random draw from the qualifying applicant pool


• Verification of enrolment in program is required (letter from educational institution, verification of tuition amount paid or transcript) and must be mailed in with completed Expense Form
