Advanced Grievance Handling
This three day workshop is designed to strengthen stewards' abilities to resolve workplace/member problems, focusing on investigation, member mobilization, meeting preparation, and step 2 grievance presentation. It is aimed at stewards who have "middle level" skills: those who are active grievance handlers at step 2 level.

Workshop topics include:
grievance investigation, research, documentation and note-taking
guidelines for preparation of different types of grievances
effective use of the collective agreement and contract interpretation manual in preparing grievances
presentation skills at step 2
mobilizing members to win grievances

Basic Steward
Workshop.
Recommendation of the Steward team
Steward must have handled at least five step 2 grievances in the past 3 years |
