Applying for LTD benefits
If you expect to be off work for a lengthy period due to illness or injury you should apply for LTD benefits as soon as possible. It is important to apply for LTD benefits even if the claim is covered by WCB.

CPP disability benefits
You are required to apply for Canada Pension Plan disability benefits with the LTD application.

Appealing LTD decisions
If you are denied LTD or your benefits are terminated you can appeal the decision. LTD Advocates assist members in appealing LTD decisions. If you receive a LTD decision that you disagree with and wish to appeal, please contact the OH&S Labour Relations Officer assigned to your region.
