Summer's Over but the Heat's On
Bargaining resumed today, with discussions on classifications. We're expecting negotiations to move on to monetary issues later this week or early next week.
The next six weeks of bargaining are going to be extremely important for BCNU, HSA and UPN nurses who will be covered by the new Provincial Collective Agreement.
We urge all BCNU members to be on the alert for important messages over the next few weeks:
- check your bulletin boards frequently
- call in to the bargaining hotline 1-800-667-1079
- visit the BCNU website - www.bcnu.org
- watch for important meeting notices, then come to the meetings!

Bargaining is scheduled for three days a week (with two days to prepare proposals and responses) through to the end of September. BCNU will be issuing bulletins on the first and last day of bargaining each week.
Watch for more bulletins, including one at the close of bargaining this week.
