Agreement on Implementation of Memorandum of Understanding 17 (MOU 17) Wage Rates (Reclassification)
BCNU and HEABC met on June 21, 1999 to work out the terms of implementation of new wage rates of MOU 17. HEABC originally wanted to wait until all of the submissions to Arbitrator Vince Ready on the 90 outstanding positions were completed before applying any new wage rates.
HEABC has now agreed to send the FTE data required by the Ministry of Health for costing the completed portion of MOU 17 within the month of July. The Ministry will then complete specific costings and transfer funds to the Regional Health Authorities for them to send to specific employers. This whole process should take approximately four months.
