BCNU Election 2001
Nominations have now closed for the upcoming BCNU election for the positions of Treasurer, Executive Councillor (two positions), Community/Public Steward’s Representative, Hospital Steward’s Representative and Other Bargaining Units Steward’s Representative.
The three candidates running for BCNU Treasurer are: Deb Filleul, Jason Pauls and Gerri Reinhard.
The four candidates running for the two BCNU Executive Councillor positions are: Maxine Armstrong, Suzanne V. Kendall, Jean Smith and Andy Wiebe.
The two candidates running for the Community/Public Steward’s Representative are: Julie Duhame and Peggy Eburne.
The four candidates running for Other Bargaining Units Steward’s Representative are Ed Green, Mebrat Kebede, Marg Kirk and Carol Patton.
Judy Brown has been acclaimed as BCNU’s Hospital Steward’s Representative.
You will find election statements from each of the candidates and their bios in the next issue of Update magazine, which will be mailed to all BCNU members before the end of March 2001.
In early April 2001, an election brochure featuring bios and statements from each candidate, ballots and a ballot return envelope (postage paid) addressed to BCNU’s office will be mailed to all members.
The deadline for the return of those ballots to the BCNU office is May 11, 2001. Ballots will be counted from May 14 to May 18, 2001.
