BCNU election runs from 6 AM on May 12 to 12 Noon on May 17, 2002
BCNU’s first televote, for president and vice president, runs from 6 AM on May 12 to 12 Noon on May 17, 2002.
The two candidates running for BCNU President are Greg McGunigle and Debra McPherson. The three candidates running for BCNU Vice President are Carol McCullough, Len Rose and Patt Shuttleworth.
You will find election statements and the biographies of each candidate in the latest issue of Update magazine, which was recently mailed to all BCNU members.
You should also have received a BCNU election package that was mailed to the homes of all BCNU members on or before April 22. The mailing included the statements and biographies of each candidate; instructions on how to use BCNU’s new televoting system; and a Personal Identity Number.
Here’s how to use BCNU’s new televoting system:
- You can vote 24 hours per day during the election period, which runs from 6 AM on May 12 to 12 Noon on May 17, 2002.
- To vote, simply telephone 1-877-313-2121 from anywhere in Canada or the continental USA (excluding Hawaii and Alaska).
- You’ll be greeted by a voice that prompts you to answer a series of questions using your telephone keypad.
- The first question asks you to provide your Personal Identity Number.
- After correctly punching in your PIN, you’ll be asked to vote for one candidate for president, and then, one candidate for vice president.
