BCNU Treasurer position open to members
The BC Nurses’ Union has received the resignation of its current Treasurer Jason Pauls for personal reasons. The resignation is effective October 1, 2002
Pursuant to Article 4.08 of the BCNU Constitution
"Any vacancy occurring in any elected office, except the President’s, with more than one year remaining of the term, shall be filled by having a special election. The person elected in the special election shall take office right after the election. Vacancies of less than one year shall be filled by council for the balance of the term." |
BCNU Council will therefore be appointing a new treasurer as per the constitution at their meeting September 10 to September 12.
If you are interested in being considered for appointment to the position of BCNU Treasurer please talk to your Regional Chair on the BCNU Council before September 8, 2002. You should be willing to provide the Council member with a written statement stating why you are seeking the appointment and briefly outlining the skills and experience you can bring to the position.
