Learn about your BCNU candidates at www.bcnu.org
BCNU’s web site www.bcnu.org now includes the biographies and statements of each of the candidates running in the upcoming election for BCNU executive councillors (2) and treasurer.
The two candidates running for BCNU Treasurer are: Mabel Tung and Lesley Walker.The three candidates running for BCNU Executive Councillor are: Maxine Armstrong, Len Rose and Andy Wiebe.
You can view information on each candidate by visiting BCNU’s web site at www.bcnu.org.
On April 30, an election brochure featuring the candidates will be mailed to the homes of all members. The mailing will also include instructions on how to use BCNU’s televoting system and your own Personal Identity Number. To vote, you can use your PIN anywhere in North America except Hawaii and Alaska (a 1-800 number will be provided).
The televoting system allows members to vote 24 hours per day during the election period, which runs from 9 AM on May 1 to 12 Noon on May 30, 2002.
You will also be able to read the candidates’ biographies and statements in the next issue of Update magazine, which will be mailed to all BCNU members near the end of March.
