BCNU Hotline to monitor the impact of contracted out support services

A new BCNU "Privatization" hotline has been set up to allow BCNU members the opportunity to report to the union concerns and issues impacting patient care as a result of any recent contracting initiatives.

BCNU wants to hear from you if you and/or your patients have been affected by changes to housekeeping, laundry, dietary and security services.

When leaving a message, please keep your comments brief and to the point (less than 5 minutes). Please leave your name, facility and region so that a Communications Officer can contact you if necessary for further information. You may also leave a message anonymously. Your call will not be returned immediately if there is a high volume of calls.

If you have concerns that need immediate attention, please report them to your local steward or regional executive.Fill out a professional responsibility form (PRF) or grievance if patient safety or your standards of practice have been compromised by services being contracted out.

Use the BCNU Hotline - to protect patient care by reporting the impact of contracting out support services.
