BCNU president and vice president elected by acclamation

Debra McPherson has been re-elected as BCNU president, and Anne Shannon has been elected BCNU vice president - both by acclamation.

McPherson and Shannon were the only members who had submitted nominations when nominations for this years’ BCNU provincial executive elections closed on January 23.

McPherson has been BCNU President since March 2001.

Shannon, who works at Yucalta Lodge, a multi-level care facility in Campbell River, is currently chair of BCNU’s Pacific Rim Region. She has been a member of BCNU Council since 2001.

Current BCNU vice-president Patt Shuttleworth is completing the second of two full two-year terms of office. Under the union’s constitution she was not eligible to run for the office again.

The new terms of office for McPherson and Shannon begin September 1, 2004.
