BCNU donates $5000 for tsunami relief
Members are encouraged to make donations as well, which Ottawa will match, if they are
made by January 11
BCNU has donated $5,000 to the Canadian Red Cross for international relief efforts to assist the victims of last month’s tsunami.
The donation is an expression of our support and solidarity with the valuable work the Red Cross and other organizations are doing, and with the people of South Asia whose lives have been shattered by this devastating natural disaster.
We are also encouraging all our members to make their own donations to the Red Cross or to other organizations involved in the tsunami relief work. The federal government will match any donations made before January 11, 2005. Donations received after that date will also be valuable.
Here is contact information for some of those organizations. Mark your donation for tsunami relief.
