Election 2006: three candidates running for BCNU President
Nominations have now closed for the upcoming BCNU election for the positions of President and Vice President.
The three candidates running for BCNU President are: Julian Finn, Debra McPherson and Patt Shuttleworth.
You will find election statements from each of the candidates and their biographies posted at www.bcnu.org by the end of February. The same information will also be included in the April issue of Update magazine. Also, in April, an election brochure featuring the candidates will be mailed to all members.
That mailing will also include clear, concise instructions on how to use BCNU's televoting system and a Personal Identity Number. Each PIN will be unique and secure. To vote, you can use your PIN anywhere in the province (a 1-800 number will be provided). You can vote any time during the election period which runs from 6 AM on May 1 to 12 Noon on May 26, 2006.
Anne Shannon has been elected Vice President by acclamation. Anne Shannon was first elected Vice President in 2004 and has been a member of BCNU Council since 2001.
