BC Nurses Education Bursary still available
The Nurses Education Bursary Program, managed by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education, provides bursaries ranging from $500 to $3,500 for (in order of priority):
- nurses who are upgrading or requiring further education to work in BC’s health care system
- former nurses and foreign educated nurses requiring refresher or upgrading
- students in LPN, LPN Access, RN or RPN programs
- Bursaries are allocated according to financial need, three times a year, to those who will be enrolled in an eligible nursing program of study in BC, at least 4 months in length and leading to a Certificate, Diploma or Degree recognized for practice in BC.
