Speakers include:
- Dr. Allyson Pollock, Head of the Centre for International Public Health Policy (University of Edinburgh, U.K.), is a leading authority on private health care finance initiatives (known in Canada as public-private partnerships) and the impacts of market mechanisms on public services.
- Dr. Wayne Hildahl, CEO of Winnipeg's Pan Am Clinic, was the majority owner of the then-private Pan Am Clinic until 2001, when the Manitoba government negotiated the clinic's conversion to a non-profit facility.
Dr. Hildahl has remained CEO under the Winnipeg Health Authority, and has pursued innovative ways to deliver public health care services and promote long-term sustainability of the health care system.
- Dr. Michael Klein, physician, researcher and founding member of the Canadian Doctors for Medicare, has received numerous awards for excellence and lifetime contributions to the field of primary care. He assisted in establishing the national organization Canadian Doctors for Medicare and is a long-standing supporter of public health care.
