Six days of negotiations for a new collective agreement covering 46,000 healthcare workers in the Facilities subsector have been scheduled to start on July 18. Negotiations for a renewed collective agreement began on February 7.
The FBA and the Health Employers Association of BC had planned to resume negotiating in mid-June but have delayed talks because of scheduling issues.
The FBA collective agreement covers a diverse health care team that includes employees in hospitals, nursing homes and diagnostic treatment centres, emergency health services and shared services such as logistics and supply operations.
