Professional Responsibility Form (PRF) Process

PRFs are Our Voice - Let's Use Them!

The NBA Professional Responsibility language and FBA Professional Responsibility language provide a process for Registered Nurses (RNs), Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs), and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to advocate for changes in their workplace relating to workload, nurse & patient safety, and practice conditions.

Professional Responsibility Forms are the best tool for defending your professional standards. If you feel your work environment is preventing you from meeting them, engage in the PRF process with your employer!

The first step of the process is having a conversation with your excluded manager and filling out a PRF form.

If you have questions or need some guidance, contact your local BCNU steward or BCNU’s Policy and Professional Advocacy Department.
