Speak Up and Speak Out

Our Health-Care System Doesn’t Need More Heroes. We Need More Nurses.

Nurses need your help. After countless months of the COVID crisis, nurses are exhausted. A critical shortage of nurses and a desperate lack of support means nurses are struggling to provide the safe patient care that every British Columbian deserves.

From lengthy delays for urgent care to unexplained rescheduling of elective procedures, the dire and worsening shortage of nurses is having serious impacts on patient care. Nurses cannot sustain the health-care system at the price of their own mental and physical health any longer.

It is time for the BC government to act now. More resources and urgent government attention must be allocated to address the nursing shortage now, and into the future.

Speak up and speak out now on behalf of nurses and the patients who depend on them. Send an email to your MLA and use your voice to call for change. You can edit the email template below to share your personal experience or simply send as is, asking your MLA to support BC’s nurses now.

A copy of your email will be sent to the Premier, Minister of Health, Leader of the Official Opposition, and the Official Opposition Critic for Health.
