Surviving and thriving in today's health care workplace
The nursing profession is highly demanding with many physical and psychological hazards. Nurses are routinely exposed to trauma, violence and human suffering on a daily basis.
This workshop will help you identify and recognize signs of compassion fatigue and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in yourself and in your colleagues. It will also help you develop the skills for mitigating the risks from work-related moral distress and compassion fatigue and will provide you with strategies for developing personal and professional resilience.
A light breakfast will be served at 0830 and lunch will be provided.
The workshop is free to attend, but salary replacement and/or travel expense reimbursement, including accommodation, is NOT available.
