As part of the memorandum of agreement reached between BCNU and HEABC, casual status nurses who worked in a temporary regular position of six months or more between April 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, as well as eligible regular or casual nurses who resigned or terminated their employment between April 1, 2020, and June 30, 2021, must contact their employer's payroll department before Nov. 15, 2021, to receive retroactive payout of their personal leave day(s) owed to them.
Eligible nurses who had their personal leave day prorated in 2020 were to be paid out for those lost hours on the first pay period after Oct. 1, 2021. If this has not happened, please discuss with your employer’s payroll department. If you have any further concerns, please contact your BCNU steward.
