East Kootenay

I am grateful for the opportunity to apply for the Communications Secretary position on the BCNU East Kootenays Regional Executive Team. I have been a nurse for five years, beginning in Home Health and currently working as a Transition Liaison at EKRH. For the past four years, I have been actively involved with BCNU as a New and Young Nurses Network Regional Representative and steward. I am highly organized, confident with technology, and committed to clear, timely communication. I enjoy building relationships and connecting with others, and I look forward to using these skills to support and strengthen communication within our region.

I’m Lisa Foxworthy, an LPN at East Kootenay Regional Hospital and an active worksite steward, JOHSC representative and violence prevention facilitator. I’m passionate about making sure members receive information that is timely, accurate and easy to understand. I’m organized, comfortable with technology and social media, and willing to ask questions, research issues and speak up when something doesn’t make sense. I believe communication needs to go both ways. As Regional Communications/Secretary, I want to strengthen the connection between members and our regional team and help ensure members across our region feel informed, included and heard.
