General Election - Our Choice Our Voice

The BC Nurses’ Union conducts elections for its provincial executive officers and regional council members every three years as per article 5.01 in its Constitution and Bylaws. BCNU elections will be held this year. The last election was held June 19-23, 2023.

Nominations Open

Any member in good standing who wishes to run in the 2026 BCNU elections can submit their nomination form between 12 p.m. noon PT on April 6 and 12 p.m. noon PT on April 20. Nominations must be submitted electronically, and the form is available on the BCNU Member Portal. The nominations form has changed from previous years, and members are strongly encouraged to set aside time to complete the process. 

The nominations and voting periods have been established for BCNU's 2026 elections by the Nominations Committee, which oversees the union’s election and assumes responsibility for a fair and transparent election process.
