Having been elected as Regional Council Member (RCM) for the September 2026–2029 term, I believe it is appropriate to put my name forward in this Special Election to fill the current vacancy until that term begins.

With seven years of experience serving as RCM (2015–2022), I am well prepared to assume the role immediately and effectively, without the need for formal onboarding. I bring extensive institutional knowledge, proven leadership, and a strong track record on Council, where I was often regarded as a voice of reason.

I look forward to returning to the RCM role in September and would be honoured to serve in the interim should I be elected.

For more than a decade, I have proudly served BCNU members as a steward, Regional Executive and the Interim Regional Council Member since April 2025. I have represented our region through complex governance decisions, a successful strike vote, and now the tentative ratification of the proposed terms of settlement. I know our union, I know the governance, and I know the importance of strong, experienced leadership. This is a critical time to shape the future of nursing and our region deserves stability, ongoing continuity, and a voice that is already making a positive impact. I am committed to listening, advocating, and ensuring Pac Rim nurses are represented with integrity, accountability, and determination through to the end of the term.
