I’m Meredith Lapp and I am running for Simon Fraser Regional OH&S Representative. I have been a nurse for 23 years as bedside RN, PCC, and for the last 7 years as BH Site Leader. I am a mother, am positive, am organized, and have strong leadership and communication skills. I am a Steward and current co-chair of BH Joint OH&S Committee. I also am part of the MOC and Workers with Disabilities caucuses. Safety, psychological health, violence prevention, diversity, equality and inclusion will ensure wellbeing for all nurses now and in the future. I am committed to the members and if elected will work towards promoting all aspects of OH&S. I am finding resolving OH&S issues for members fulfilling. Vote for me, I will work hard for you!
I am Melissa Vannerus, an RN for over eight years on the Neurosurgical unit at Royal Columbian Hospital.
I have been the Simon Fraser Regional Occupational Health & Safety Rep since 2021, the Provincial Chair of the Young Nurses’ Network, and a Joint Occupational Health & Safety Rep and Site Steward at Royal Columbian Hospital. In previously held roles, I was the Simon Fraser Regional Mental Health Advocate and covered as Full-time Steward at Royal Columbian Hospital.
