Bursary Recipient Profile: Natalie Chambers RN, MSN

" I am so thankful that I had the BCNU Member Education Bursary as a source of funding to offset the cost of my tuition when I needed it the most to further my education. My sincerest thanks to BCNU for investing in me. Had it not been for this financial support I may not have been able to see my way forward.

Natalie Chambers recently completed her Master of Science degree in Nursing while working full-time and caring for her family. Natalie decided to take on the challenge of pursuing an MSN designation to prepare herself for future career opportunities. She knew that sacrifice and a lot of hard work would be required to achieve her educational goals, but she was also navigating a financially challenging period and tuition fees were a concern.

In early 2019, Natalie applied successfully for BCNU’s Member Education Bursary (MEB). The bursary funds from BCNU helped offset her tuition costs and allowed her to fulfill her desire to further her education. She now feels empowered to advance her career to the next level and utilize her education and experience in greater ways to provide the best care to patients.

The MEB is one of many ways BCNU supports its members. Bursary funds help ease the financial burden of tuition, course fees or materials and provides nurses with the opportunity to change their practice focus, advance their nursing careers or enroll in specialty training courses. Learn more about BCNU’s Member Education Bursary.

“On behalf of the Bursary Committee, I extend our warmest congratulations to Natalie on obtaining her Masters of Science in Nursing degree. BCNU is proud to have been able to support her with the Member Education Bursary. We look forward to providing all our members with the resources and services necessary to pursue their nursing career goals. We wish Natalie every success!”
