Orange Shirt Day 2026: Walking in Honour, Gathering in Community

Join the West Kootenay Indigenous Leadership Circle (ILC) Caucus and your fellow nurses as we walk in solidarity with the Circle of Indigenous Nations Society (C.O.I.N.S.) on Sept. 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
 
ILC representatives will meet at the Castlegar Sandman Hotel at 10 a.m. The walk starts promptly at 10:30 a.m. and will continue to the C.O.I.N.S. building for drumming and a barbecue.
 
Limited shirts will be available as giveaways, with more available for purchase at the event.
 
All are welcome and are encouraged to wear orange.
