BCNU and HEABC have agreed that the maximum number of overtime (OT) hours that may be banked will be 150 hours for the term of the 2019-2022 Nurses’ Bargaining Association (NBA) Collective Agreement.
All OT hours banked since October 1, 2018 will remain in the employee’s OT bank. As of September 30, 2019, all banked overtime hours exceeding the 150-hour maximum will be paid out. Employees may access their full bank as per the collective agreement (Article 27.04).
Any employee with more than 150 hours in their bank cannot bank any further overtime hours until their balance falls below 150 hours.
A formal joint interpretation document for Article 27.04 will be published on the BCNU website once finalized.
