Tentative Agreement Reached with Bernstein Clinics

Union recommends members at all five clinic locations vote in favour of new contract

Members working at Dr. Bernstein Clinics in the lower mainland will have the opportunity to vote on the tentative agreement reached between BCNU and their employer.

We will be conducting two votes simultaneously; one will be a ratification vote, the other to be a strike vote. The ratification votes will be reviewed and counted first. If there is a positive ratification, the strike votes will not be counted.

BCNU is recommending members vote in favour of the proposed four-year agreement, promising a number of improvements such as 1.75% wage increases every year for those working at the top wage rate, including retro-pays from January 1, 2019.

Voting will take place at each of the five Dr. Bernstein Clinic locations on October 30 (times are approximate):

1558 W Broadway, Vancouver; 0830 - 0900
110 - 11380 Steveston Hwy, Richmond; 1000 - 1030
242 - 3025 Lougheed Hwy, Coquitlam; 1130 - 1300
20159 - 88 Ave. East, Langley; 1330 - 1500

Overall, this new contract provides our members with wage increases and improvements to the collective agreement language. We are recommending to our members a YES vote to accept the new tentative collective agreement.
