BCNU Convention Update

September 11, 2020
Planning is underway for BCNU Convention 2021

BCNU plans to hold its annual convention in June of 2021. The union's convention planning committee is investigating options that would allow the annual meeting to take place while anticipating potential disruptions, such as public health restrictions preventing large gatherings, which led to the cancelation of this year's convention.

In the meantime, members should be aware that all proposed bylaw amendments and resolutions submitted for consideration at Convention 2020 will be carried forward to next year's convention. The movers will not be required to take any action to have their submissions carried forward.

Calls for nominations will be issued later this year seeking members who wish to serve on the BCNU Bylaws Committee and Resolutions Committee.

In accordance with BCNU's bylaws, an official call for BCNU Convention 2021 will also be issued later this year, with information on how the event will comply with public health measures. Deadlines for any new proposed bylaw amendments and resolutions will be published and determined according to confirmed 2021 convention dates.
