Regional Human Rights and Equity Caucus Representatives to begin January

December 11, 2020
Regional representatives elected in six caucus groups

BCNU congratulates the successful candidates of the Human Rights and Equity (HRE) regional caucus elections following the December 1 - 4, 2020, voting period. The term of service is January 1, 2021, through December 31, 2023.

Each of the six caucuses held elections across all 16 BCNU regions. Three of the elections resulted in a tie vote which, according to governing policy, means that a run-off vote will be held in January 2021. More information is forthcoming regarding how the run-off vote process will proceed.

To view HRE election results, please log in to BCNU's Member Portal to view a complete list of who has been acclaimed or elected to represent you in your region.

Caucus representatives' contact information will be available on the Contacts page of the member portal following the run-off vote in January.

BCNU is proud to support HRE caucus groups as we strive to make our union a safe and welcoming place for all. There are four equity-seeking caucus groups including the Indigenous Leadership Circle, LGBTQ Caucus, Mosaic of Colour Caucus and Workers with Disabilities Caucus. In addition, BCNU supports the Men in Nursing Group and the Young Nurses' Network.
