Regional Human Rights and Equity Representatives to Start in New Year

December 12, 2023
Regional representatives elected in six caucuses and networks

BCNU congratulates the successful candidates of the Human Rights and Equity (HRE) regional caucus and network elections following the Dec. 4 - 7, 2023, voting period. The term of service is Jan. 1, 2024, through Dec. 31, 2026.

Each of the six caucuses and networks held elections across all 16 BCNU regions. Two of the elections resulted in a tie vote which, according to governing policy, means that a run-off vote will be held in January 2024. More information is forthcoming regarding how the run-off vote process will proceed.

Please log in to the BCNU Member Portal to view a complete list of candidates who have been acclaimed or elected to represent you in your region. Caucus and network representatives' contact information will be available on the contacts page of the Member Portal following the beginning of their terms in January.

BCNU is proud to support HRE caucuses and networks as we strive to make our union a safe and welcoming place for all. There are four caucuses, including the Indigenous Leadership Circle, LGBTQ Caucus, Mosaic of Colour Caucus and Workers with Disabilities Caucus. In addition, BCNU supports two networks: Men in Nursing and the Young Nurses' Network.
