Members Invited to Help Strengthen Collective Action Toward More Inclusive Workplaces
New survey encourages BCNU members to share their experiences with discrimination in nursing practice environments
BCNU has launched its new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Nursing Practice Environments survey with an aim to better understand how members are experiencing issues related to diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in their work life.
Research shows that workplace discrimination significantly affects nurses’ professional practice environments and quality of life. Insights gained from the survey will help shape our efforts to address workplace discrimination and strengthen a sense of belonging for all union members.
BCNU has invited Dr. Dzifa Dordunoo to conduct the survey and ensure member responses remain anonymous. Dr. Dordunoo is a scholar and researcher with over 20 years of nursing experience, whose work includes the Canadian Nurses Association report, Racism and Discrimination Among Nurses in Canada and the Impacts of the COVID-19 Pandemic: A Scoping Review.
Members who complete the survey can be entered to win one of four $50 gift cards to Iron Dog Books.
Take the survey and share your experience.
