Members Mark Union Anniversary with BCNU Day Quiz
Trivia challenge focuses on the union’s work in the past year
The BC Nurses’ Union was founded on June 11, 1981, when 200 members gathered at the Fairmont Empress in Victoria for the union’s inaugural convention. June 11 has been recognized as BCNU Day ever since.
BCNU Day celebrations return this year with the annual quiz that encourages members to put their union knowledge to the test.
This year's quiz has questions about the work BCNU is doing to advance minimum nurse-to-patient ratios, tackle workplace violence, advance human rights and more. Answers to all questions can be found in BCNU's 2025-26 annual report.
Member entries will be randomly drawn from BCNU’s 16 regions and winners will receive prizes.
The BCNU Day quiz is open June q - June 11. Visit the BCNU Member Portal for a chance to win.
