BCNU President Issues Statement on Quebec Mosque Shootings
Statement issued on behalf of BC's nurses regarding the January 29th shootings at the Quebec City mosque, by President Gayle Duteil
I want to offer our sincere condolence and deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those victimized by this cowardly attack, and to all the people of Quebec who are equally outraged by this assault on our peaceful way of life. Such acts have no place in our country.
BC's nurses, whose numbers reflect Canada's great diversity today, express heartfelt solidarity with Muslim Canadians everywhere, with whom they stand shoulder to shoulder to defend tolerance and embrace difference. Diversity will always be our strength. We care for all.
