Nurses Rally in Trail to Defend Legal Right to Job Action

July 24, 2026
1500 - 1700
Location
Workers Memorial Monument (across from the Cominco Arena)

Since job action began on July 2, BCNU has received more than 5,400 reports from nurses across British Columbia alleging intimidation, coercion and interference by employers. More than 970 of those reports have come from nurses working in Interior Health. The rally continues BCNU's province-wide efforts to support nurses exercising their legal right to job action and to call on health employers to respect those rights.

Join BCNU members, local labour organizations and community supporters in a peaceful public demonstration of solidarity, highlighting a shared commitment to safe patient care, respect for nurses and fair collective bargaining.

Note: This is a solidarity rally, not a picket line. Nurses are invited to attend on their own time.
