Crucial Conversations

Open to stewards and Joint Occupational Health and Safety (JOHS) committee representatives only.

Crucial Conversations helps stewards or JJOHS committee representatives recognize high-stake situations before they escalate into crises. The course shares methods for bringing interactions back to a safe place and fosters productive communication. Participants learn techniques effective for communication in critical situations to help achieve shared objectives with respect.

Crucial Conversations is a blended learning course comprised of weekly online learning activities starting on Oct. 19 and two live sessions on Nov. 18 and 19.

The Nov. 18 and 19 live sessions are in-person at the BCNU Burnaby office.
