Online resource provides updated information on extended health benefits, travel insurance and prescription medications

Pacific Blue Cross (PBC) has developed an online COVID-19 Resource Centre for members with questions about their extended health benefits, including travel insurance and prescription medications during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Resource Centre will be updated regularly with new information and resources.

To reduce the load on the healthcare system, Minister of Health Adrian Dix and Public Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry announced on March 16 that patients may now renew their prescriptions without visiting their doctor first. The British Columbia Pharmacy Association has developed an information sheet for patients with questions about the changes to prescription renewals and emergency refills.

Members with questions about specific medications are encouraged to speak with their pharmacist directly or contact PBC's Pharmacy Services team at 604-419-2000 or toll free 1-877-722-2583 between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.

PBC members are encouraged to go digital. Access your PBC Member Profile for benefit limits, find insta-claim providers, or submit claims 24/7.
