DEI 101 Dinner Series - Emancipation Day in Canada

Register here.
BCNU invites you to attend the third event in our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) 101 dinner series. Emancipation Day in Canada commemorates the day the Slavery Abolition Act came into effect on August 1, 1834, marking the end of slavery in the British colonies. Join us as we unpack the history of slavery in Canada, examine how its legacy contributes to the experience of racialized workers today, and the ongoing need for labour protections against racism and exploitation.
The event is not salary replaced. Dinner will be served promptly at 6 p.m.
