This summer marked 10 years since the Reconciliation Commission of Canada (TRC) issued its final report containing the 94 Calls to Action to redress the legacy of residential schools and advance the process of Canadian reconciliation.
BCNU invites members to the union’s Burnaby office on Tuesday, Oct. 7 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. to discuss the TRC’s Calls to Action (#18-24) on health. We’ll also assess the progress and barriers to implementation, and our responsibilities as nurses and a health-care union to advance reconciliation.
The event is the fourth in our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) 101 dinner series.
The Indigenous Leadership Circle welcomes Indigenous members to participate in making medicine bags together before the dinner from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
