Nominations opening soon for 2026 BCNU Health Care Champion award

The annual BCNU Health Care Champion award recognizes a local government taking significant actions to support nurses and strengthen health care in their community.
Local governments can help attract nurses to their communities by investing in accessibility and affordability of housing, child care, transportation and recreation.

Nominations for the 2026 Health Care Champion will open June 1 and closes on June 30.
Northern Rockies Regional Municipality was the winner of the inaugural Health Care Champion award in 2025.
