BCNU Health Care Champion

The annual BCNU Health Care Champion award recognizes a local government taking significant actions to support nurses and strengthen health care in their community. Local governments can help attract nurses to their communities by investing in accessibility and affordability of housing, child care, transportation and recreation.

The District of Kitimat won the second annual Health Care Champion award in 2026. Nominations for the 2027 award open in June.
