Speaker Bio:
Dr. Kendra Coulter is Chancellor's Chair for Research Excellence and chair of the department of labour studies at Brock University. She is a fellow of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics and a member of the Royal Society of Canada's College of New Scholars, Artists and Scientists. Her work focuses on animal labour and protection, humane jobs, and how to foster more just and sustainable multispecies societies.

Presentation: Exploring Human-Animal Solidarity and Care

This discussion will examine human-animal connections, and concentrate on the key lessons that have become particularly clear in 2020. We will then consider the potential for cultivating more solidarity with other species, and the possibilities for creating a more humane and caring province (and world).
