NOTE: This is your region's bargaining conference that was rescheduled from its original November 2021 date. The event is now online only in compliance with provincial health orders.

In preparation for bargaining, BCNU invites members covered by the Nurses' Bargaining Association (NBA) contract to attend this one-day meeting in your region.

As the TNO's Regional Bargaining Conference has now been rescheduled to Jan. 11, 2022, please note:

Members who were confirmed to attend the original date of the bargaining conference will be given first priority to attend. If you are one of these members, please re-confirm your attendance by filling out the registration form by Nov. 30, 2021. This step is required in order for members to receive their registration confirmation email that is needed to request Union Leave. If you are not able to attend the rescheduled date, please click on "Decline" and submit the decline form; this will ensure that any seats not filled can be offered to other members in your region.

Other members may register but your name will be put on a waiting list. You will be contacted should there be any seats available or to be advised the event is full.

These regional bargaining conferences are another opportunity for members to identify top bargaining priorities and outcomes including those which members would be prepared to participate in job action for if necessary. Members will also hear about the current bargaining climate and the process of bargaining.

The other important functions of the regional bargaining conferences is the selection of delegates and alternates to the Provincial Bargaining Conference (PBC); and the nomination and election of candidates from each region to run for positions on the NBA Bargaining and Provincial Job Action Committees (PJAC). You must attend the regional bargaining conference to be selected as a delegate or alternate to the PBC. You must be a delegate to the PBC to be eligible to run for either the Bargaining or PJAC committees.

As per Article 7.04 of the BCNU Constitution & Bylaws, at least one (1) member will be allowed to attend the Regional Bargaining Conference from each worksite.

Lunch will be provided. For more information, visit the registration link.
