Overtime Language to Remain Unchanged Until Further Notice

BCNU and the Employer have agreed to delay implementation of Article 27.04 until joint process is finalized

BCNU members covered by the Nurses' Bargaining Association (NBA) contract will not see any changes to the overtime provision in the immediate future, as BCNU and HEABC work together to develop a comprehensive plan to implement the new language.

BCNU President Christine Sorensen is pleased with the progress being made to implement various aspects of the contract language, and welcomes the thoughtful approach taken to finalize the best possible process. "Until an understanding has been reached between the union and employers, overtime banks will continue to accumulate based on overtime hours worked; there will be no maximum limit to the number of hours a nurse may accumulate."
