A Need to Flourish: The IEN Experience

For years, BCNU has been advocating on behalf of IENs and pushing to help expedite the process for IENs to be registered in the province. In response, the provincial government introduced changes in 2022 aimed at making it easier for IENs to practise in BC.

But our work isn’t finished. We want to hear from you. A Need to Flourish: The IEN Experience is an opportunity for BCNU to learn about the challenges IENs face when obtaining a license to work in BC and the issues IENs currently encounter in the workplace. Your input will help us determine how effective the government’s changes have been so we can advocate for further improvements to the licensing process as future IENs aim to put their skills to work in the province. It will also inform us of how to better support you in the workplace.
