National Nursing Week 2026

National Nursing Week 2026

BCNU is proud to celebrate National Nursing Week, embracing Canadian Nurses Association’s theme, the Power of Nurses to Transform Health. It draws attention to the incredible impact nurses have in shaping health care, driving innovation, and advocating for patient-centred care.

National Nursing Week, May 11-17 this year, is a time to honour and celebrate nurses working in varied heath-care settings from hospitals to public and home care to long-term care facilities. We count on them to be compassionate, knowledgeable and to show courage during challenging times. Their expertise, skills and dedication continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and communities every day.
