Joint campaign launched to fill new vacancies

The more than 1,600 additional nurse full-time equivalent positions created under the new staffing agreement meant that as many nurses as possible needed to be identified to match and fill the vacancies that were created. BCNU collaborated with health authorities and Providence Health Care to ensure that all nurses were aware of the opportunities that were created. Nurses working in regular positions were given access to positions within an expedited hiring framework and received information from their health authority. 

BCNU contacted members working in casual positions by health authority and Providence Health Care, to assess their interest in accepting regular positions. They were invited to complete an online form with an opportunity to upload their resume.  All information was submitted to health authorities for use.
